About
Founder and CEO Madeleine ‘Mardi’ Ponini’s passion for the Pacific Islands is in her DNA. With roots tracing back to New Caledonia and Vanuatu, Mardi was born and raised on Norfolk Island, where her family has a rich history of setting up and running businesses across the Pacific. Her love for these islands only deepened when she married a Cook Islander and started a family.
After spending many years working abroad, Mardi returned to Norfolk Island, embracing the opportunity to work remotely from her home. With over 17 years in marketing roles, Mardi repeatedly had local businesses ask, “Can you help me?”
Frustrated by the disconnect with mainland agencies—too expensive, inadequate support, or subpar quality—Mardi saw a need for a dedicated service. After four years as CEO of a marketing agency, she knew it was time to create her own business, tailored specifically to the Pacific Islands.

Mardi’s journey in tourism began early, working in touring companies and hospitality, and supporting her parents’ accommodation business that has been established for over 25 years. Her experience includes a significant role as a Senior Marketing Specialist at Virgin Australia and Virgin Australia Holidays. Now, she’s returned to something she is so passionate about: promoting the vibrant and unique businesses of the South Pacific.
